How I wish Avid would call the mid-tier flavor of "Sibelius" something else to differentiate it from the overall product line, which is also called "Sibelius".

I have lost track of how many times I have had to explain this to people, that for 20 years what you knew as "Sibelius" is now "Sibelius Ultimate" and that's why the version you bought, which is called "Sibelius", as any reasonable well-meaning person would do who doesn't obsessively follow this stuff like we do on Scoring Notes, doesn't have half the features you need, you know, like on your deadline or something. Here are some free ideas!

- Sibelius Essentials
- Sibelius Intermediate
- Sibelius Elements, with apologies to Steinberg
- Sibelius Festivus, for the rest of us
- Sibeliusussudio, the Phil Collins edition, because you can write catchy 80s pop songs with it
